This tomahawk is based on several surviving 18th examples. It was forged from solid tool steel (In this case a large leaf spring from a semi-truck) which has been deferentially hardened and tempered for a sharp edge and spike and a tough body. It features hand filed moldings between the eye, blade and spike. and the entire head was chemically blued. the handle is hand riven hickory. It was friction fit down through the eye and lightly branded with a rasp for an authentic look.
