This Adze is capable of rapid wood removal and tight tolerance accuracy.  It is the traditional tool for removing wood for "Swedish cope" log building, but is also nimble enough to carve bowls, trenchers or sculpture.  The long hand-riven hickory handle is tenston-fit into the oversized rectangular eye and can be tapped out for sharpening or  reversed to change the angle of attack.  It can be used two handed but is small enough for single handed use.  The body is mild steel with a laminated 80CrV2 steel edge.
