Bottle Opener Loggerhead

Bottle Opener Loggerhead

$125.00

This unusual piece of bar ware hails back to at least the 17th Century. The heavy end was placed into a hearth until red hot, then plunged into the beverage of your choice. It was especially popular for making the famous pirate cocktail known as a "Landlord May's Flip" consisting of dark beer, molasses and rum. This frothy concoction smacks of coffee, and roasted marshmallow. It's sure to warm the bones.
This Particular example has been modernized and includes a bottle opener built into the loop handle.
