This essential traditional timber framer's tool is used to hold a log in position while it is hewn with an axe from a raw round log into a square timber. The Parallel end is driven into the support beam and the perpendicular end into the log to be hewn.

Forged from heavy 3/4" square stock with a decorative twist in the middle.
